We rescue working breeds. These dogs either come from shelters, or are surrendered directly to us by their owners (ultimately eliminating their abandonment at a shelter). We then evaluate these dogs for working potential and place them in the appropriate working home.
Our rescue is completely self funded, and we graciously welcome all donations. Please read on to see how you can help us to help these heroes.
Canine Acceptance Criteria
We are only accepting "working dog" breeds into our rescue program.
These are dogs that are considered high-energy or "drive".
They have a relentless desire to play (ball/tug/etc.)
Typically these dogs are surrendered by their families as they are too excitable, destructive, or bark too much.
Often these dogs get overlooked at the shelter for these exact reasons.
Some of the breeds we accept may be, but are not limited to: German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Doberman Pinschers, Rottweilers, Labrador Retrievers, etc.
Once we accept a dog into our program, we evaluate it for the most suitable field of work for its personality and breed.
This may be
Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, Arson/Accelerant Detection, Personal Protection, Service/Assistance Dog or Tracking/Man-Trailing.
Occasionally we will accept dogs that may be suitable for Agility or other dog sport.

WE DO NOT TAKE DOGS WITH AGGRESSION ISSUES, ESPECIALLY IF THE DOG HAS EVER BITTEN OR "NIPPED" A HUMAN OR OTHER DOG!!
Who We Are
We are a small home-based dog boarding and training facility. We have taken our knowledge of both canine behavior and working canines and applied it to our rescue program so that we can offer you a healthy, working companion!

*Dog food!!! (It costs $6 per day to feed a "healthy" dog)

*Any new or used K9 equipment (harnesses, leather leads/collars, bite sleeves or suits, tugs, etc)
*Dog sponsorship (we almost always pay a "pull fee" to bail a dog out of a shelter. This comes out of our pocket - you can "sponsor" a dog in a shelter, waiving our pull fee!)
