Our Featured Pet...
We have so many precious baby that deserve a better life that it is impossible to select just one. All of our dogs are in temporary foster homes and desperately need a loving family of their own. Please help us help them!
News
Please refer to the Friends of Hardeman County Animal Control website www.please-adopt.us for news of Activities, Fundraising, Adoption Days, and Shelter construction updates. Also check out "If Pets could talk" on this site. This is a daily journal written by two Hardeman County rescues, Coco and Chili Bean.
Who We Are
We are a small County operated facility, located in Bolivar, TN (Hardeman County), that takes in a large number of animals. As a result we are a kill Shelter and our animals are on very limited time. The dogs pictured on this site are being temporarily housed in foster homes. Each time one of these dogs is adopted, it frees up a foster home and we are able to rescue another precious one from the fate of euthanasia. For more information on what we are doing to help our animals please visit our web site, Friends of Hardeman County Animal Control at www.please-adopt.us
Adopting a friend
For information on any of our dogs please contact our Adoption Coordinator, Sherri Chance at 901-299-0024 or e-mail your questions to chudson123@bellsouth.net
Come Visit Us!
The existing Shelter is located in the County landfill in Bolivar TN.
At this time the it is only open by appointment. Volunteers are actively involved in fundraising activities for the construction of an additional space, which when completed will house approximately 30 dogs. It will then be manned by volunteers, and open to the public three days per week.
