Who We Are

Furry Friends Animal Rescue has been operating since December of 1999. Most of the dogs we rescue come from County Animal Shelters. We have them spayed/neutered, tested for heartworms, given their vaccinations, and dewormed prior to putting them up for adoption.

Adopting a friend

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS AND FEES: We have an Adoption Application and an "Adoption Contract". If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please call us at 615-595-1413 or complete the Adoption Application, which we will respond to promptly.

Our adoption fees normally vary from $50 to $250. They are based on the adoptability of the dog. Most of our small mixed breeds are $125.00.

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS
Furry Friends is happy to work with out of state adoptors, however, you must be willing to come and meet us and pick up your new family member. We do not ship pets and we cannot meet you halfway. There are no exceptions.

ELECTRIC SHOCK COLLARS, UNDERGROUND AND INVISIBLE FENCING, AND TIE-OUTS
Furry Friends will not adopt a dog to a home where it will be subjected to electric shock collars - this includes underground or invisible fencing. We are aware that certain new neighborhoods prohibit the use of conventional fencing, but the safety and comfort of our dogs is very important to us. After much investigation and discussion we have come to the conclusion that these "fences" are unacceptable to Furry Friends. They do nothing to protect the dog and can do much harm. The same applies to tie-outs. There are no exceptions.

Come Visit Us!

LOCATION AND HOURS: We are located in Williamson County Tennessee, about 30 miles south of downtown Nashville, out I-65. We don't have set hours, we show the dogs by appointment. We will make appointments during the week (evenings also) and on the weekends.
