"We Believe in 2nd Chances"
Because I just can't help myself, I've posted the spot on video below entitled "Shelter Humor".
~We have the most beautiful cats!~ (and some really cute dogs, too!)
All are fully vetted (spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV neg., Vet. checked, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, flea treated, bathed, groomed & nail trimmed).
Our cats are in TOP HEALTH, completely litterbox trained and deserve a great forever home. We have all breeds and ages, long hair, short hair & some already declawed cats. Our adoption fee's range from $35 and up (depending on what our costs were to Vet the cat). The adoption fee is reduced even further when you choose to adopt kitten siblings or a bonded adult pair to the same home.
Our rescued dogs are also fully vetted and all very special. (Most of them live with cats, so they have to be.)
We are a no-kill rescue, when you adopt from us, you save two lives - the one you take home and the one that takes it's place.

Who We Are
C.A.A. / A Home for Cats is a small, self-funded, 501(c)(3) non- profit rescue organization located in Chattanooga, TN. We are a no-kill rescue, once we commit to taking in an animal, it stays with us until a new home is found. Ours is an all-volunteer organization and the money needed to care for the pets we rescue comes our of our own pockets. Each "Foster Parent" is responsible for the Veterinary and day to day costs of caring for the animal until adopted. Our adoption fees range from $35 - $125 depending on age, breed and Veterinary expense, however this usually does not cover the significant costs involved, which include traveling to pick up a pet in need, providing veterinary care, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment, having it spayed or neutered, FeLV/FIV tested, giving it any training necessary, and helping to socialize, house and feed it. We welcome public dontaions and they are tax deductable. 100% of donated funds go towards the spay/neuter, feeding and housing of our rescued pets.
Our mission is to save as many pets as possible through fostering, socializing, spay/neuter, vaccinations, medical care and adopting them to forever homes. We strive to promote public awareness about the importance of spay/neuter, keeping pets safely indoors and why declawing is inhumane. More info at www.declawing.com . On a limited basis stray and abandoned pets and those rescued from kill shelters are kept uncaged in a home setting until adopted. Because of the interaction in a normal home environment, we are able to acquire insight into the pets' personalities and temperaments. Matching the pets personality to the needs and expectations of the prospective owner is of primary concern in any adoption. Our available pets can be seen at portable adoptions and appointments for visiting the pets in the foster homes can be scheduled.
