Who We Are
We are the Smithville Animal Control Facility. Our primary focus is to keep City of Smithville safe from stray and aggressive animals. We house the animals for ten days to give owners the opportunity to re claim their pets and the public an opportunity to view and adopt the animals.
Adopting a friend
The current City fee rate for adoption is $45 dollars which includes the adoption fee of $20 and a $25 refundable spay/neuter fee. A signed spay/neuter agreement is required to be compliance with the Tennessee Spay/Neuter Law. The $25 spay/neuter fee will be refunded upon proof of the spay/neuter procedure and the adoption receipt within 30 days of the adoption. Animals that are already spay/neuter has an adoption fee of $20.
Lost And Found
If your pet is missing, please visit the Animal Control Facility to view the animals. We do Not post all animals at the shelter. You may call but keep in mind that your description and our description may not match. It is always best to visit the shelter and view the pets.
