Our Featured Pet Pictures...

We have several dogs with reduced adoption fees of $65 each. These dogs have grown up in foster care for 1 to 2 years. Some of them have been inside but now are outside in kennels or fences, and we would like for them to find their forever homes sooner than later. An application and home visit still apply. We normally do not adopt dogs to be outside. We much prefer they be inside as part of a family. But, these dogs need homes. If they are to be outside dogs, they must have a "buddy" in the yard, yard must be well fenced, and they must have good shelter. E-mail for an application. Approved rescues are welcome!

A partial list is DeeDee (been inside = I), Beemer, Clifford, Streak, Shiloh, Sally, Ernie (I), Maisey (I), Girlie (I), mama beagle (I), Speck (l), Michael (I), the sister hound mixes with one girl with 1 blue eye, Sophie (I), JoeJoe, Bubby, Chomper, Labbie, JoeJoe's 2 sisters, and a pointer mix. All these are spayed or neutered. Pictures will be updated as I get to them. Thanks from the dogs!

SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS for healthier pets and to prevent overpopulation with unplanned and unwanted litters. No breed is so special that that breed and mix won't wind up in shelters...and most don't make it out alive.

We need donations of dog food, preferably Pedigree or better, and money donations to go toward our vet bills and spay/neuter bills. Adoptions and donations are down because of the economy and we need your help. Please call 865-376-2474 or 865-466-8567 to arrange for pickup or mail checks to address below. See our complete Wish List way, way below to get addresses for mailings to our vet and to Planned Pethood. Thanks in advance!

But our biggest wish is for all of our pets to find permanent homes!

Who We Are

We are a small network of foster homes for the Humane Society Of Roane County Pet Rescue Team. The rescue team was established in 2005. We work hard to prepare our fosters by house training, leash training, and crate training, temperment testing, etc in a home setting for placement into their forever homes. We are always in search of foster volunteers. If you would like to volunteer please contact us! We do not have an actual facility. We are based out of foster homes. If you would like to meet one of our fosters please let us know and it can be arranged.

ADOPTING A FRIEND

Adopting a friend is easy. We require an adoption application, vet and personal reference checks, and a home visit. Our fees range from $125 and up for dogs/puppies and $100 for cats/kittens. We have discounted fees if more than one animal is adopted. Our fees are different for each foster based on our vetting costs for that specific furkid. All fosters are fully vetted before going to their forever homes. We do adopt out of state with transport being the responsibility of the new owner.
