We are a 501c3 non profit group. We do
not have a shelter. All of our animals are cared for in our own homes.
This makes it easier for us to house-train them and get them ready
to be in YOUR home. This way, we can also spend more one-on one time
with them and see how they behave with other pets, children, etc. If we get in a dog that has food aggression or doesnt get along with other dogs, we work with that too, we dont just put them down because of issuses they might have, we work to resolve it. If
you are interested in one of our pets, we can set up a meeting spot
that's convenient for both you and us. We also have transportation
available for out-of-state deliveries, and we also have a variety
of ways for transporting adopted pets to the homes of their new families.
Our transport fees vary, depending on the mode of transport you choose
and also depending on where you live. You will be informed of them
well in advance, so that there will be NO surprises. We also only use Ragland and Riley for all our vetting, they are a fully equipt medical facility, and work with us to give us the best quality care for our rescue babies!! Please follow us on FACEBOOK!!
The Meaning of Rescue
Now that I'm home, bath, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked into my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage,
Least I forget,
There is so much to carry-
So much to regret. Hmmmm...
Yes, there it is, right on the top,
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my bed, hide Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave-
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I love them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I was not good enough -
for they did not want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Or will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things -
And take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage,
And never repack?
I pray that you do -
I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage -
Will you still want me?

The
Meaning of Rescue
>>
I look at all the abandoned & homeless animals all around me,
the cast-offs of human society. I see in their eyes...
love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal.
And I get ANGRY! "God I say, this is terrible!
Why don't you do something?"
God was silent for a moment and then spoke softly and said,
"I have my child, I created YOU!!"

A RESCUER'S CREED
I shall be a believer of all that is good in man
and of all that is deserving in animals.
I shall plead for their lives, campaign for their
safety and uphold their right to a natural death.
I shall seek out the injured and the maimed, the unloved,
and the abandoned and tend to them in their last days.
I shall not forget their place in the hierarchy of life,
nor that we walk in each other's paths.
I shall bear witness to the wonder they bring into
our lives and to the beauty they bestow upon our souls.
I shall renew their spirits when they are waning,
bind their wounds when they bleed,
cradle them when they whimper,
and comfort them when they mourn.
I shall be near them in their hour of greatest need -
a companion and friend when the time has come.
I shall watch over them and console them and ask that
the angels gather them in their arms.
From the creatures of the earth I shall learn the fruits of
compassion and undying love, and I shall be called the beloved of God.
In their company I shall indeed be blessed.
To all the rescue angels "I am an animal rescuer.
I have bought animal food with my last dime,
I have patted a mangy head with my bare hands.
I have hugged those that are vicious and afraid.
I have fallen in love a thousand times,
and I have cried into the fur of a lifeless body.
I am an animal rescuer. My work is never done,
my home is never quiet, my wallet is always empty-
but my heart is always full. In the game of life, I have already won!"

Many Thanks!!
I
would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Sam's who donate
food.
I also extend thanks to my mother who,
through the years, was always trying to take in all of the neighborhood
strays, and for showing me the best way to help a homeless pet.
I extend thanks to my father who has always stood behind me in
ALMOST everything that I have done, the one exception being the
singing phase that I went through, as a child. HA!!! You are all
truly wonderful people!
I would like to say a very warm thank you to my husband who has
supported me through this. He loves all the dogs I bring home
and makes them feel welcome. |

My partner Leslie Caruso of Connecticut , of whom i will be forever grateful for! She has been my savior in dog rescue, and has helped me rescue many many dogs and placed them in wonderful homes all over the states!! And to my good friend here in Tennessee, Helen Gregory who has helped me to place dog houses to those who have none, and has also helped to supply shavings, and toys and much much more when there is a dog in need, i can ALWAYS count on Helen to come up with what is needed for our needy fur friends!! She too is a savior!! And to all our foster homes who also help to make this all happen and for us to be able to save more, thank you soooo much Victoria Griffith, Dana, Heather , Katie and Russ . Your all truly a MAJOR part of this whole saving doggies operation.
I also extend thanks to Mr. Jones (my 7th grade teacher) who had
faith in me and who believed I could do anything I set my mind
to. He was always proud of me no matter what I did in my life.
I
would like to give a very HUGE thanks to my very talented and
wonderful cousin, Sherry, and new friend, Nadeela Persaud Del Gigante and Rachel Lupinacci who helped with this web site.
A PET'S TEN COMMANDMENTS!
1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.
4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.
5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.
6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.
7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.
8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.
9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.
10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so!
