The Blount County Humane Society was founded in June of 2003. We have about 800 members called the "Pack". Our goals are to improve the lives of all animals in Blount County by building a No Kill Humane Society Shelter and Sanctuary. Our shelter will include a High Volume Spay/Neuter Clinic, Rescue/Adoption Center and a Humane Socity Thrift Store. We don't have our Humane Society Shelter "YET" but we will soon with your help. Currently our "Pack" is involved in Fostering Critters until we can find a Forever Home for them. We have weekend Adoption Events and Fundraisers where we find good homes for our Critters and sing up people into our "Bark N Purr Club" where they commit to donate $10 a month or more. All of these events are working towards our ultimate goal of a No Kill Shelter in Blount County.
