Located at 2797 Sam's Creek Road (Rt. 249), one mile from the Pegram city limits and just south of the entrance to the Cheatham County Landfill, this well-designed facility is able to house up to 50 full-grown d ogs and cats in humane conditions.
Both in-shelter and field services are provided by professional staff trained in animal care and control procedures with knowledge of local and state ordinance regarding animals. The Shelter provides animal control services for all of Cheatham County. Our Animal Control Officers investigate complaints regarding animal cruelty and neglect, nuisance animals, dogs running at large, vicious animals and bite cases. We assist the public in locating their lost pets as well as providing adoption services to help find lifelong companions.
