Shepherd’s Green Sanctuary exists to provide rescue, lifetime care and other aid and assistance to abandoned, abused, neglected, homeless and otherwise endangered pigs.
We are a No Kill, fully equipped lifetime care facility and have been operating in TN since 1996.
We provide national assistance in education, S/N, and referrals and local help with placements and environmental enhancement .

Read through the Pig Care section and determine if you are prepared for the 20 year lifetime and expense of caring for an exotic animal. Typical care costs between $4500 and $5000 for a healthy pig to see him through his life. One serious illness or surgery in a suitably equipped university hospital or regional exotic clinic can easily run $3000 and up. Pigs are intelligent animals requiring a lot of space, and
lifetime companionship of other pigs. They cannot be housed with any other animal except cats.
