Birdie is our featured girl this month. She is a wonderful English Pointer/Dalmation cross and just wants to please. Her Foster Mom says she is a doll and would love to see her go to a loving home. She deserves the best!

Who We Are
The Grainger County Humane Society receives NO funding from our local government or other outside sources. We exist on donations and volunteers alone. We do NOT have an animal shelter or an Animal Control Officer at this time. Our dream is to someday have a shelter and help from an Animal Control Officer. We rescued over 500 pets in 2005 using volunteer Foster Homes. Our mission is to promote humane treatment of domestic animals, educate the public about their responsibility of providing treatment and care and to help control the pet population to ensure the well being of domestic animals in our communities.

Adoption fees are $75.00 for dogs or cats, Seniors get a little break at $50.00 (65 years or older) and we have a very special rescue and adoption program for our Pit Bulls. For further information on our Pit Bull Program you can call 865 767-3738 or email timssquaw@hotmail.com.
We also offer micro-chipping for only $15.00 at the time you adopt a pet from us.
