Who We Are
We are a 501 (c) (3) Tax Exempt organization focusing our energies on saving animals from suffering or being euthanized in Greene County, Tennessee.
In Greene County we have a no kill, privately funded, Humane Society and a Greene County funded Animal Control Facility who euthanizes admitted animals within 72 hours. In spite of these two institutions, the problem of unwanted abused, and neglected animals remains in Greene County.
At our SweetPaws SafeHouses we take in as many dogs and cats as possible to avoid their extermination or suffering. All of your monetary donations go directly to caring for the animals in our SafeHouses. We spay and neuter all our animals before adoption, vet them, and provide training to make them more adoptable.
Through our Humane Outreach and Public Education (HOPE) program we help people who want to keep their pets by assisting them with spaying and neutering, vetting, and alternatives to having their pets live chained to a tree.
Please look at our list of adoptable pets. If you cannot physically adopt one of our beloved animals, please, consider sponsoring one of them. Your sponsorship of $10.00 a month will go a long way towards helping our rescued pets. Please visit our website: avoiceforpets.com to see our pets in need of a Guardian Angel. Become a guardian angel and proudly display your sponsored pets picture on your refrigerator or office. Be a champion for unwanted animals, instead of useless gifts, sponsor an animal in the name of, or in memory of a loved one. Tell your friends and family not to breed or buy from a puppy mill, instead ask them to adopt a homeless animal as there are thousands being euthanized every day adding up to millions a year.
WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION, all donations go to pay vet bills, dog food, cat food, cat litter, cleaning supplies, toys and treats.
Our goal is to alleviate the senseless euthanizing and suffering of so many animals unwanted animals in Greene County. We promote spaying and neutering of all animals and we are pursuing legislation to see that it becomes mandatory.
