Who We Are

Volunteer Doberman rescue was founded by a group of Doberman lovers in the Middle Tennessee area. We rescue dobermans in need. We rescue from high kill shelters and also owner surrenders. Our organization was formed as it was realized that there was a need for another "no-time-limit" animal shelter in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not euthanize unless it is deemed as humane means to end their suffering. These animals will remain at the shelter until placed with well screened foster homes of caring families or individuals or until placed in permanent, stable homes. We are not paid for any of our time. It is all volunteer work. We are working on getting our 501c3. For now we only can accept GIFTS. We are always in need of dog food (Purina Dog Chow or Puppy Chow), toys, paper towels, blankets and bleach. If you would like to donate please contact us.

Adopting a friend

To adopt from us you will be required to fill out a questionaire. If approved you will then be required to sign an adoption contract. Adoption fees vary. It is usually around 100.00 depending on the expense in the dog.
