Our next adoption event will be held on Saturday, May 12th from 1 til 4 PM at the Germantown Petco (7680 Poplar). Please email us if you would like to make arrangements to meet one of our adoptable dogs.
We are currently not taking in new dogs due to a lack of foster homes. We will be doing intermittent adoption events at the Germantown Petco. Please check back here or on our Facebook page for scheduled events. If you'd like to meet one of our rescued cocker spaniels in the meantime, please send us an email to make those arrangements .
Please contact us if you are interested in fostering a rescued cocker spaniel. The sad reality is that there are so many cocker spaniels in need, we could have 10 foster homes and keep them filled with foster cocker spaniels all the time. While our primary focus is to rescue cocker spaniels in the Memphis metropolitan area, we also try to help out with cockers in Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi where there are no cocker spaniel rescue groups. Fostering one cocker spaniel for us can make a huge difference - especially to that one cocker spaniel.
We are a small group based in Memphis, TN dedicated to helping homeless cocker spaniels find new families who will love and pamper them. Due to our small size and the overwhelming number of cocker spaniels arriving in our local shelters, we rarely take cocker spaniels from shelters outside of Shelby County, and we only take dogs we believe to be purebred cocker spaniels. Our space and funding limitations preclude accepting owner surrendered cockers unless the dog is fully vetted and the owner keeps the dog until a home is found.
There are always more cocker spaniels in need in the Mid-South
than we can accommodate, but now our situation is even more urgent. We currently
have foster cockers with medical issues that either prevent them from being
available for adoption or make finding forever homes difficult. As a result,
there's just no more room at the Cocker Inn. If you could foster one of our
cocker spaniels for even a few weeks, please contact us.
We are also looking for volunteers to help groom our rescued cocker spaniels. If
you have clippers and know how to groom dogs, we'd love to hear from you.

grooming needs, please click here to email us for more information and/or a foster application.
Please understand that we screen all foster volunteers to ensure that our cocker
spaniels go to the appropriate foster homes.
