Who We Are
Signal Mountain Adopt A Pet was established in 1971 as a voluntary nonprofit charitable organization which is dedicated to providing care to animals who are abandoned, mistreated, or neglected throughout Chattanooga, Tennessee and surrounding areas. It is located on Signal Mountain in Tennessee. Since its founding, SMAAP has rescued and found homes for thousands of animals. Your contributions to help care for and feed these animals would be greatly appreciated.
Our Mission
Finding the right home for a deserving pet is our main goal. Adopting a pet is a big decision. A pet requires lots of time, money, and commitment lasting many years. Pet ownership can be rewarding if you think through your decision before you adopt a companion. We charge an adoption fee of $55.00 (This covers the spay or neuter for your pet). The adoption fee for purebreds is higher, depending on the breed. This deposit is required when the animal is adopted and the owner will receive a certificate to take the animal to one of many vets in the area for the spay or neuter. We feel this is an excellent price to take part in saving a life and to purchase the most loyal and best friend you will ever know. No animal will appreciate you more than one who has no where else to turn.
