Our Featured Pet...TOM and SMOKEY

PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFORMATION BELOW>>>> PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFORMATION BELOW>>>> Smokey and Tom are Maine Coon Mixes with the Russian blue coloring. They are both sweet kitties and long for a home. They will come greet you when you walk into the room and would make wonderful pets. They have to be INDOOR only kitties as they are both de-clawed in the front. They are missing being in a home and being at the shelter in a cage scared them. . We would like to keep them together, so we are offering them both for one adoption fee of $50.00. They are up to date on vaccinations and both are neutered. They can be seen at the Petsmart in Mt Juliet-ADIOPTED

Who We Are

Loving Kittens is a small self-funded kitten rescue north of Nashville. Our goal is to adopt healthy, well socialized kittens into excellent homes. We get our kittens primarily from the streets or shelters and focus on the down and out tiny felines rather than accidental litters from the public. We counsel people on how to place their unwanted litters and offer advice on most aspects of kitten care and behavior to anyone who inquires. Depending on space, we may take kittens from individuals provided the kittens were rescued or upon proof that the mother cat was spayed. In these cases we do ask for a donation to help offset our medical costs. All monies received go into either our medical fund for testing, shots, altering, flea control, wormer, and other medications, or for food and litter.

Adopting a friend

You'll excuse us if we ask a few questions because we want to be sure that you and the kitten are close to a perfect match. We believe that cats and kittens can be divided into two distinct personality types--cuddly, people oriented cats who don't mind being confined in your arms, or independent, aloof cats who will come around for petting on their own terms. If you handle a kitten and observe closely, you can usually tell what type of adult cat they will turn out to be. Each type is endearing in its own way, but we want you to be happy with your kitten's personality because you will be living with it for 10-15 years or more. Certain kittens will not be recommended for young children for the safety of the kitten and the child. Kittens who have been handled by our resident youngster are possible candidates for families with children over age five. Loving Kittens has an adoption application and contract and does require a vet reference in order to adopt. All animals are tested, altered, treated for worms and fleas, and vaccinated. We request that you sign up with a vet within two weeks of adopting so that your kitten has a doctor. If you do not yet have a vet, we can recommend one to you. We like the three year vaccination schedule as endorsed by the AVMA, but believe that all pets should have annual check-ups. Loving Kittens may have been treated for a variety of other ailments and adopters will be informed of this in the kitten's health record. ADOPTION FEE's are $75.00 for adults 1 yr and older and $85.00 for kittens, this includes testing, spay/neuter and first vaccines
