We need more foster homes!
The more foster homes we have, the more pets we can save. Plus it is a great way to have all the benefits of having a pet without any of the financial responsibility. Fostering also makes a pet more adoptable because they receive more socialization in a foster home. All you have to give is your love and time, and Muttley Crue provides the rest.

TIME! Foster homes are always needed. You can also help socialize the dogs. Come walk a dog or take to the dog park for the afternoon. It means the world to a dog.
MONEY! We average between $1000 to $3000 per month in vet bills to care for and rehabilitate the dogs and cats in our rescue.

Who We Are:
Muttley Crue is a small rescue operating out of private homes, dedicated to giving misplaced, abused, abandoned, and otherwise unwanted pets a second chance for a happy, peaceful life. We are registered with the state of TN to solicit donations and we are recongized as an approved charity. We have a non-profit EIN number with the IRS. We are currently working on obtaining our 501(c)3 status. All funds received are directly funding our rescue efforts and medical needs for our dogs. Muttley Crue rescues dogs and cats from immediate peril, rehabilitates them physically, socially and emotionally, and then through a thorough screening process, matches the pets personality and needs with an adoptive family.
We receive NO government or any other grant funding!
Muttley Crue is staffed entirely by volunteers and adoption fees are used to care for the rescued pets.
HOW TO ADOPT A FRIEND
Muttley Crue is dedicated finding the best possible home for all the pets in the organization. We are dedicated to helping each adoptive family find the newest member of the family that will best meet the family's and the pet's needs and life style.
All pets have been vet checked, are up to date on age appropriate shots, tested/treated for parasites, heartworm tested/treated, have had all medical and behavioral concerns addressed, and are spayed/neutered, if old enough. Some young puppies/kittens require a spay/neuter contract and an additional spay/neuter deposit of $25.
Adoption fees vary depending on the care required to rehabilitate each individual pet, but usually range from $125-$250.
A completed Adoption Application is required, in addition to an approved vet reference or 2 personal character references, a home visit, and a personal interview. Some dogs and cats with special needs may have a more involved adoption process due to the pets needs and our dedication to finding the best home for each pet.

NOTE TO ADOPTERS: Muttley Crue doesn't get the elegantly coiffed, classically beautiful, completely trained, perfectly behaved dog. Dogs that other people have incompetently bred, inadequately socialized, ineffectively "trained," and badly treated. Most Rescue dogs have had it. They've been pushed from one lousy situation to another. They've never had proper veterinary care, kind and consistent training, or sufficient company. They've lived outside, in a crate, or in the basement. They're scared, depressed and anxious. Some are angry. Some are sick. Some have given up.
But we are a rescue and we don't give up. We never give up on a dog. We know that a dog is a living being, with a spirit and a heart and feelings. Our dogs are not commodities, things, or garbage. They are part of sacred creation and they deserve as much love and care and respect as the next Westminster champion.
So please don't come to rescue in the hopes of getting a "bargain" or of "getting" anything. Come to rescue to give, to love, to save a life. For rescue will reward you in ways you never thought possible. A rescue dog will make you a better person.
