PLEASE NOTE: We ARE NOT accepting any animals at this time. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Who We Are
k9.5 is a very small, no kill rescue founded in middle Tennessee and now in South Carolina, with some fosters in TN, that works hard to help out stray, abandoned, mistreated, or shelter animals in need. We are very limited on the number of animals that we can take in at one time due to funding and foster homes, but we do our best to take very good care of them and work very hard to make the animals feel safe, happy and loved. Our focus is Great Pyrenees, extra large breeds, special needs and seniors. We love our work, and in this rescue we work hard to let the animals know that that fear and uncertainty can be forgotten and forever love can be found.
Adopting a friend
Adopting an animal consists of filling out an application and questionnaire, as well as interviews, vet and personal references, and home visits. Adoption fees are $250 for dogs to help cover the cost of the spay/neuter, shots, food, and any medical attention the animal may need. All applicants must have a veterinarian for the animal(s) they adopt. Please understand that the adoption process may seem somewhat lengthy, but we do so in order to make sure the animal and potential adopter are suited and looking forward to a permanent life together.
