Savanna is a happy black lab mix who loves to run and play with other dogs. She is an escape artist and her next owner needs to have either an invisible fence or a tall fence. She weighs 50 lbs. and has perfect proportions. She is smart and eager to please for treats and already knows how to sit, shake, and lie down. Savanna has started her house and crate training, however, she prefers to be a outside dog and run all day. She needs a loving family with lots of energy. Come get her today!!

We are dependent on donations and adoption fees to care
for our animals. We are 501C-3 .
Who We Are
There are so many abandoned and stray animals in our area that we knew we had to establish somewhere for them to be safe. We do not misrepresent our pets. You will be informed of both good and bad habits (if any) as well as temperment, compatibility with other animals, history, etc as we are aware of it. We do have special needs dogs that would benefit from exceptionally compassionate and caring adopters, and foster homes are very much needed. Call about these situations for more info.
Adopting a friend
Adoption fee is $75.00. All dogs are vaccinated against parvo, distemper, influenza and rabies. We have a short application. We also have a pet agreement which requires that the pet be returned to POLDS if there are any problems, as opposed to being passed to another owner, or placed in another shelter. Home visits may be required at our discretion. If an animal is returned within two weeks of adoption a full refund is given. Our dogs are neutered/spayed before going to new adoptive homes.

We are located approximately 25 miles west of Chattanooga, TN. From Interstate 24-East, take the 155 exit . You will be on Hgwy 28, take the next exit which will be Hgwy 41 & take a right. Travel appox. 2 miles & turn on Hancock Rd going toward Marion Co. Airport. We are approx .5 of a mile up the road. OUR GATE IS KEPT LOCKED TO PROTECT OUR ANIMALS, NOBODY IS ADMITTED WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT. WE VARY OUR HRS FOR VISITS TO ACCOMADATE ADOPTERS.
