Who We Are
Our shelter is a holding facility for the Bristol Virginia Animal Control. Our cats and dogs are animals who have been picked up by the police department. If they are unclaimed, they are then available for adoption after a prescribed waiting period.
Adopting a friend
Our dogs and cats are available for adoption after their holding period. The adoption fee is $27.30. Tennessee residents are required by law to have the pet spayed or neutered before leaving the facility. Virginia residents are required to sign a commitment to spay or neuter their pet within the state's specified period of time. The adoption fee includes the first vaccination and deworming. Dogs or cats who are older than 12 weeks are required to have a rabies vaccination before leaving the facility - the fee for this vaccine is $13.50

The Bristol Virginia Animal Control facility is located within Jones Animal Hospital at 603 Volunteer Parkway. Our shelter visitation hours are 9-11 and 2-4 Monday through Friday. We have new arrivals almost every day with most of our animals needing adoption from loving and caring families. Call or come by if you have room in your house and your heart for a lifetime friend and companion.
