Our next adopt a pet will be announced. ARF will be participating in the IAMS Home for the Holidays program. Call 504-9600 for more info.
The Animal Relief Fund cannot accept any new animals at this time. ARF will gladly take back ones adopted from ARF at any time.
ARF would like to focus on raising money for a low cost spay/neuter clinic. Raising money and responsibly altering animals is the only REAL solution to the overpopulation problem. We are desperately in need of funds to start this the clinic.
Please consider donating, even in these hard times. We all know we can spay/neuter far more animals than we can save once they are born and suffering and unwanted.
We discourage giving animals as gifts unless the whole family or receiver of the animal agrees and picks out the pet. Surprise animals can sometimes turn into a situation were the animal is not wanted and discarded. It happens all too frequently. Don't let the element of surprise cause an innocent animal to go to the shelter after the newness and holiday "spirit" has worn off.
We take our adoptions seriously. All potential adopters will be screened and go through an interview process so that our animals and the potential adopters make a perfect life long fit and commitment.
ARF will list your animal with your email address to help your pet find a wonderful forever home.
Pets are a life long commitment. Please think very seriously about your lifestyle and the changes that will probably occur within the next 10 to 15 years of your life. Moving is the number one reason people surrender animals to shelters.

WE CAN ALWAYS USE VOLUNTEERS FOR ADOPTION DAY TO HELP WITH THE DOGS OR PROVIDE FOSTER HOMES IN BETWEEN ADOPTIONS. THIS IS A FUN ANIMAL LOVING GROUP THAT CAN ALWAYS USE MORE VOLUNTEERS AND FINANCIAL HELP. WE ARE ONLY AS GOOD AND SUCCESSFUL AS OUR DONATIONS AND VOLUNTEERS---PLEASE HELP.
The animals featured on this web site can be seen at Adopt-A-Pets or by appointment.
The Animal Relief Fund was started in 1996 as a way to help animals in various shelters get the medical care they needed. It provided financial support for animals that would otherwise have been euthanized due to various curable conditions. It also sponsors several spay stations for the ultimate goal of ending the suffering of unwanted pets.
The Animal Relief Fund not only still does these tasks, but fosters and places animals that otherwise would be euthanized. A.R.F. has rescued and placed livestock, birds, and reptiles along with dogs and cats. Over the years, the founder of ARF has placed over 12,000 animals in loving homes over a twenty-two year period.
We encourage people to come to our Adopt A Pets, who are willing to make responsible, lifelong commitments to their new member of their family.
A.R.F. is a one man operation. If e-mails are not immediately answered please try your e-mail again . It is hard to answer the many e-mails and take care of all of the animals. A.R.F. is only interested in adopting in the Nashville area, unless special arrangements and references are made. A.R.F. also reserves the right to refuse adoptions. Adoption fees vary.
A.R.F. requires that an application be filled out and approved prior to adoption. There is also an adoption fee and a contract that returns the animal to A.R.F. if the owner can no longer care for the animal. A.R.F. is interested in quality adoptions not quantity adoptions.
