Who We Are
OUR MISSION AND PURPOSE:
- To create awareness and support within our community for the humane treatment of cats, both
domestic and feral.
- To end animal overpopulation within our community by promoting spaying and neutering.
- To provide care and shelter for homeless, needy and feral cats and
CATS is a 501(c)(3) organization, and all donations are tax deductible.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption fee includes all shots appropriate for the age of the cat/kitten, testing for FeLV and FIV, and spay/neuter. We place to indoor homes only and do close followup on the animals after adoption. We also do not permit declawing. On occasion, we will get a cat into our rescue that has been declawed.
At any one time, we have at least 25 - 50 animals for adoption.
Feral Cat Policy
If you have a feral cat and need help catching it, we do loan traps with a deposit. The deposit is $65.00, which is refunded when the trap is returned in its original condition. Please contact us if you have any questions on trap-test-spay/neuter-vaccinate-return to colony issues with feral cats.
We are always looking for barn homes for feral cats. Barn homes will be required to provide food and shelter and medical attention if needed.
Come Visit Us!
The people of CATS are a group of rescuers who foster the cats in our individual homes. We are at the PetSmart on Route 153 in Hixson on Saturdays from 12 to 5 with some of our kitties available for adoption. If you're interested in a specific cat/kitten, you can contact the foster by either e-mail or phone in the pet listing.
We must have your application approved before completing the adoption process. E-mail us at
firstname.lastname@example.org for an application!
