Mewtopia Cat Rescue is a Tennessee non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax exempt community service organization
staffed entirely by volunteers. Mewtopia is dedicated to rescuing homeless, abused, abandoned or
owner relinquished cats. Mewtopia also works to reduce the population of unwanted cats by facilitating and funding trap/alter/release of
stray/feral cats and by educating the public on responsible animal
ownership. Mewtopia is always looking for new dedicated volunteers to help in a variety of ways.

You can also help the kitties by making donations of cash, food, Fresh Step non-clumping litter, paper towels, bleach, latex gloves, toys, beds, and anything else our kitties might need. We and the kitties at Mewtopia greatly appreciate any and all donations. Cash donations can be made by credit card by cliking on the "donations" icon at the top of the page or you can send a check to our address listed below.
What your adoption fee pays for: Testing for FIV/Felv, spay/neuter, shots (Rabies and FVRCCP, ), worming for hook, round and tape worms, flea treatment (Advantage or Revolution), ear cleaning and treatment if necessary and nail trim.
Your adoption fee also helps cover hidden costs such as food, litter, cleaning supplies, rent and medical treatment for those kitties rescued that are injured or ill.
A portion of your adoption fee also helps support Mewtopia's low-cost spay/neuter program. So remember your one-time donation at the time of adoption is a gift that keeps on giving every time a kitty is rescued or spayed or neutered. Thanks!!
Adoption is a relatively painless process here at Mewtopia Cat Rescue. We make every effort
possible to correctly match pet with owner so as not to subject the animal to further rejection
or abandonment. Adoption fees start at $125. All kittens and cats have been vaccinated against
Distemper and Peritonitis and have tested negative for FIV/Felv, spayed or neutered when old enough
and vaccinated for Rabies before being adopted. They are also wormed, and treated for fleas and ear mites. Prospective adopters are asked to complete
an Adoption Application and when adopting, must sign an Adoption Agreement, which requires that the pet
be returned to Mewtopia Cat Rescue if there are any problems, as opposed to being passed to another owner,
or placed in another shelter. All applicants must interview with a Mewtopia adoption counselor. |

Mewtopia Cat Rescue is located at 734 Mt. Moriah. Our hours
are currently Tuesday 3pm - 7pm; 12pm - 4pm Wednesday through Saturday. We are closed Sunday and Monday. If you would like to visit with any of the kitties outside of these hours,or would like more information, call 901-503-9328.
Mewtopia Cat Rescue also has a gift shop that has many items for you and your furry friends including hand made cat toys, cat beds, feeding bowls, collectibles, jewelry and much much more. Proceeds from all items sold are used strictly for the support of our adoption center and for the care of our kitties. Mewtopia has over 80 cats/kittens available for adoption.
