The Ark of Cleveland, Inc. is a Faith-Based Not-For-Profit 501(c) 3 tax deductible charitable organization. We are Bradley County's NO KILL Humane Educational Society providing: Rescue, Foster Care and Re-homing for adoptable pets in the Ocoee Region. The Ark receives no city, county or state financial assistance. The Ark exists solely on private donations from those who love pets and want them to have a NO KILL safe haven. Monetary donations provide routine and catastrophic Veterinary Care, pet food, and pet supplies. Donations of cat litter, dry dog food, toys, and rawhide chews, are appreciated by our pets. The NO KILL Ark Adoption Center features The Jimmy Webb Memorial Communal Cat Room, a recently expanded kennel area for more highly adoptable dogs, and a Quiet Room for adopters to get acquainted with a new pet before adoption. Our veterinarians provide a complete examination, vaccinations, and spay/neuter every pet! Friendly Volunteer Adoption Counselors staff the NO KILL Ark Adoption Center during ADOPTER FRIENDLY HOURS to assist you with your pet selection. Your donations, and determination to provide an alternative NO KILL Shelter, allows this "dream come true" for Bradley County's wayward pets to stay open. Highly adoptable, fully vetted, socialized pets, are available for adoption, in a pleasant, clean, and loving environment! ***ADOPTER FRIENDLY HOURS allow us to find every pet a loving home: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 12-6, AND Saturdays 10-6! The Ark Adoption Center is open on all Holidays! **** Honor a current or former pet, or a human loved one, with a donation made in their name. Donating directly to The Ark keeps 100% of your tax deductible donation local, and supports an all volunteer, NO KILL charity. Please help us continue to help those who can't help themselves. RIGHT NOW is the perfect time to donate! *** (TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATIONS ARE GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED AT PO Box 1514 Cleveland, TN 37364) *** Our friendly and caring Volunteer Adoption Counselors will help you find the pet of your dreams at The Ark No Kill Adoption and Resource Center, located at 2163 N. Ocoee St, six blocks north of Lee University Campus. *** Rewarding VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE! Can you spare a couple of hours each week? Call 472-2744, email The Ark Volunteer Support Team at ArkCats@aol.com, or just come by the Ark Adoption and Resource Center and get started! *** ARK of CLEVELAND T-SHIRTS, in FIVE NEW COLORS, are available at the Adoption and Resource Center! T-shirts are only $5 each when you adopt a pet (no limit) and $10 for all others!
Adopters are asked to complete a short adoption contract. This eliminates "whim" adoptions and ensures you get the right pet the first time. *** All Ark pets have current vet administered vaccinations, have been examined by our veterinarians, have been de-wormed, and are already spayed or neutered. Puppies and kittens are spayed/neutered when old enough, this is included in their adoption fee. Every Ark pet comes with a personalized veterinary record. *** Don't be fooled by the statement, "I give my own vaccinations" and adopt a sick animal into your home. All pets deserve to be seen and treated by a veterinarian, before you adopt them. *** Cats and dogs are on flea and tick prevention. Dogs are on heartworm prevention. Thanks to community support, veterinary care has been done BEFORE being offered for adoption. To offset the cost of comprehensive veterinary care, cats are available for the low cost adoption fee of $99, most dogs are $125. Kittens and puppies are $150 due to the additional vaccinations and exams.*** Ark pets have already been socialized, so adopters can be certain of getting the right match. Socialized pets, careful screening, and comprehensive veterinary care BEFORE adoption, account for the Ark's highly successful adoption rates. In the rare event the pet you adopt does not work out, the Ark will happily take the pet back. ... Low cost Humane Animal Rescue Team (HART) spay/neuter applications may be picked up at The Ark NO KILL Adoption and Resource Center at 2163 North Ocoee Street. The HART program is funded by the purchase of Tennessee Animal Friendly license plates and is done in your local veterinarian's office.
