Who We Are
We are a private non-profit organization. We contract with Dyer County, that includes the city of Dyersburg, Newbern and Trimble, TN to provide animal control services. We are a humane society that takes our responsibility seriously to educate the public regarding humane issues. We investigate and prosecute cruelty and neglect cases. We do not allow pet seizure for animal testing.
Donations are appreciated and may be sent to P.O. Box 223 in Dyersburg, TN 38025-0223 or dropped off at the shelter
Adopting a friend
Adoption fees are $50 for dogs and $40 for cats. This fee includes 1/2 of the mandatory spay or neuter charge in the form of a certificate to be given to the vet. You will be responsible for the other 1/2. Spay/neuter must be completed by 6 months of age. The clinics in Dyer County and one in Lauderdale County routinely honor the certificates. The adoption fee also includes first round of shots (not rabies). We try to find the best homes possible for our animals.
