Very frequently we get calls from individuals wanting to buy a pure breed companion. Since we are a shelter / rescue/sanctuary organization we do not have pure breeds for sale. Pure Breeds are not surrnedered very often, so we don't always have them available for adoption. We do however receive calls daily about a mixed breed dog or an entire litter that have been abandoned, and more often than not, they require expensive medical attention.

Whether companion animals are pure or mixed breeds they all deserve the same quality of care. Diseases such as mange, heart worm, etc. does not discriminate against pure or mixed breeds nor does the cost for their treatment. Only when you ask for the same adoption fee is a mixed breed short changed at a chance to be adopted. Please keep this in mind when asked a higher adoption fee for a pure breed so we are able to recover the costs for all our rescued companion animals.

Remember companion animals don't know they are pure bred or mixed, only the true animal lover finds them all to be priceless
