is an ALL VOLUNTEER(no one at PUFA receives a salary) Bristol, TN/VA based organization formed in August of 2000. Our mission is to serve as a sentinel for the humane welfare and protection of animals.

There are many fur babies who do not even make it to the Pet Finder list! They are usually placed so quickly or their breed is so popular that we do not get a chance to list them. Why not join a waiting list of available pre-approved homes that are matched up with pets as they become available? We call only the families that a particular pet will hopefully make the best match.

TOY/SMALL DOG ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS

(1) You must live local to Bristol, TN (40 miles one way). (2) Children must be 10 years of age or older -unless otherwise noted. (3) Pet must be allowed on furniture. (4) Other pets must be accepting of new baby. (5) ALL family members must be in agreement to adopt. (6) Home check and vet check will done before adoption. (7)Suitable fencing or containment when "let out" must be available. (8) Must be a home owner or long term renter - references will be checked.

Many fur babies can live up to 16 plus wonderful years!

OUR ADOPTION FEES

Our adoption fee is only $45.00 for foster pets and pets brought to our adoptions! We only try to cover the cost of altering and some of the vaccines!
