Girlie is a great li'l petite ebony girl, 2 years old, and loves her humans... She's quiet, content, and loving. Her ears are partially frozen off, as is her tail, but she's rebounded from her hardships and become a real cuddle-bunny. Girlie's small and appealing, with just the tiniest patch of white on her chest. She loves the other cats in her foster home, but deserves a good forever home with a loving family... She's spayed, healthy, and ready to find her home.
Who we are
Precious Paws Pet Rescue was founded by volunteers dedicated to reducing the amount of companion animals being killed through euthanasia, as a means to control pet overpopulation. We strive to maintain our goal through the continuation of the programs in Regina and surrounding rural areas, funds permitting.
How can you help?
Fostering: Precious Paws needs foster homes immediately. If you are contemplating one of our adult cats, why not bring them into your home and hearts temporarily to give them the loving environment they deserve? Precious Paws prides itself on being able to know our animals before they are adopted and foster them in a home situation.
Lost and Found! Memoriams also included.
Our costs and adoption fees
Although we would love to help every pet possible, we are only able to do so when we have the funds. We ensure our pets are altered, receive their first set of vaccines and are healthy. As well, our pets are rescued and cared for by our volunteers who give time, outside of their own commitment and occupations, to help these animals. Our volunteers rescue because they love animals. When you rescue a pet from us you can be sure that your new precious animal was cared for in a home, not a small cage, which alone is priceless. In additon, our cats are not confined in small areas where they often develop upper respiratory problems which later cost their owners hundreds of dollars. Your new pet will be well socialized and loved before it moves into your home. To give our older pets a greater chance for adoption, we lower the price way below what it had cost us to help them. If you would like to help us to continue growing, feel free to contact us or drop off a donation.

For more information, please email us.
Farms/ acerages needed
Precious Paws is always looking for responsible caring farm homes and acreages. At times we have indoor/outdoor cats, as well as certain feral cats, that we feel would be better suited to that type of environment. These cats have been spayed/ neutered and vaccinated and no fee is charged. The ferals are also vaccinated for Feline Leukemia as it is not very likely they will be able to be caught again for updated vaccinations.
Suitable farm homes and acreages are very hard to find, because unfortunately many are over run by people dumping their unwanted cats from the city or the view is "they're just cats, why waste money to fix them, the coyotes kill a lot of them...they can eat mice to survive, if we get too many, just shoot 'em, or drown the kittens." Sad, but true, many farms feel this way about cats
We are looking for people who genuinely care for these cats, their welfare and well-being. The cats are fed daily and have fresh water year round. They have a warm barn or shelter to sleep in, filled with hay. If you or anyone you know, who fits the above description, is interested, please email us.
Adopting a friend
Finding forever homes are our number one priority for the numerous animals we do have come through our group for adoption. All potential adopters are first interviewed over the phone. If the phone interview is succcessful, an appointment will be made for the potential owner to come over and meet the animal and go through a "in person" interview. Precious Paws reserves the right to seize an animal at any time should it ever be determined that the conditions of the Adoption Contract have not been followed. Precious Paws reserves the right to future home visits within a year of adoption, to ensure the animal is being cared for as per the Adoption Contract. Adoption fees for kittens include spay or neuter, vet health check and first booster. Adoption fees for adult cats vary, depending on age and may include annual vaccinations including rabies, depending on the circumstances. Adoption fees for dogs vary considerably based on size, age, breed, sex and adoption potential, but are, we feel, extremely fair.
