CHESTER'S PLACE has BARN/SHOP KITTIES LOOKING FOR JOBS! If you need rodent control, we have the professionals for you!! We like to pair an older cat with a younger cat in an outside environment; the pair looks after each other and hunts together. All of our current barn cats are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and tested FIV/FLV negative. They all interact well with humans--they just don't want to live in houses. Outside cats can live happy and healthy with proper daily care and shelter. We are here to find "Forever Homes" for the animals in our care; all of our adoptable pets are FIV/FLV tested negative (cats), altered and vaccinated, including rabies.
SPECIAL DEAL ON SPECIAL NEEDS!! thanks to the generosity of a donator, adoption fee for Dolly has been paid. Dolly is diagnosed hyperthyroid and needs medication daily; we have heard of a new prescription cat food for hyperthyroid cats which may be an adoptive family's answer. She has special needs and is waiting for a home life in her final years. If you can open your home to Dolly, please call the shelter at 605-255-4069 and leave a message.

Our Adoption Process
We have an adoption application available by email; our process also includes a potential home visit and interview to assure the best possible adoption outcome for our pets and their new families. When you adopt one of our animals, you bring home a companion socialized in a home setting. Our adoption fees are $50 for adult cats--less than many shelter rates; compare this to a $300-$400 investment in a "free to good home" pet. PLUS! You don't have to worry about the housetraining of a young animal since most of our friends are past the baby stage.
