.Buzz and Herbie are male Guinea Pigs that would love to go to a new home together. They have been raised together and really enjoy each others company. Often times throughout the day you will hear them chattering away with each other. They are long haired Guinea's and Herbie, the calico, has very interesting colors. Buzz is a bit more friendly, and Herbie a bit more shy. But give them carrots or hay and they will love you forever. Come down to the shelter and check these little guys out. .

Heartland Humane Society is a non-profit organization looking to eventually have an actual facitlity to house the countless number of animals that are dumped or just unwanted in the Yankton, Vermillion and Northeastern Nebraska area. We are dedicated to protecting and enhancing the lives of companion animals and promoting healthy relationships between pets and people.
Adopting a friend
If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, we have an adoption application which needs to be filled out prior to any adoption. Once approved, you will fill out our adoption contract as well.
