Several, Service , Therapy even Police dogs have come from shelters or rescues. And many are just plain old mutts (mix breeds) Some have had hard lifes and were given the chance to show that they are more then just something to be thrown away. Take another look at animals in shelters & rescue your HERO may be one of them.

We receive limited funds to operate the shelter. As you can imagine, help from you, the public, is needed. No donation is too small. Our strong desire to do more can only be accomplished with the help of donations.
DONATIONS from concerned citizens like you pay for medical care of sick and injured animals, upkeep of animal cages, incidental supplies such as food/water bowls, collars, leashes and as you can imagine, the list goes on.
We except Donations through PAYPAL.
WHO WE ARE!
BUDDY'S SHELTER is Incorporated and 501c3 Non-Profit.
We would like to let people know more about what we do and who we are.
We are here to give a place for the dogs in those areas around here that do not have the help or place to go. We "DO NOT" pull dogs from other shelters we will help if we have the room but our main help is to those who have no place. We help those in the Wagner area that will be put down other wise. And those that get left on dirt roads in the area because people think farmers will help them. Or those in the area that can not or do not want to go as far as Sioux Falls to take them to shelter there. We "DO NOT" run on a foster home bases we have our shelter dogs in one area and limited space. Or goal is to some day have more space and better place to house more and help more. Are funds are strictly on want is donated so they are also limited. We pay for vetting to the best we can and hope and depend on your help. We may be small but our heart is big when it comes to the K9's that need us. If we can not help we will do best to find some place that can. We hope to be albe to help as many as we can that need help. You can help just small donations help in big ways. We are always in need of many things.
Buddy's Shelter is a 100% volunteer group with an immense love for our 4-legged friends. We place each pet into homes as though they are our own - and some of them are after we have fostered them along the way. PLEASE consider a rescue pet for your new addition!
Buddy's Shelter is a non-profit organization looking to eventually have an actual facitlity to house the countless number of animals that are dumped or just unwanted in the area of Trip, Parkston, Lake Andes, Wagner, Avon, Springfield, Tabor and any other area that needs a place for a unwanted animal to go.. We are dedicated to providing a safe haven to all animals in need , working to eliminate animal abuse and neglect through humane education, and attacking the pet overpopulation problem.
All donations made to the BUDDY'S SHELTER/ doggy haven are tax deductable.
