Our Featured Pet...

Chewbacca

Chewbacca is a 5 year old grey tabby. She is already spayed and is declawed. She prefers a home without other cats as she is quite submissive with other felines. She does well with dogs, though. Chewbacca is super affectionate and will cuddle in your lap all day long! She is always quite a huntress.......there will be NO mice around if Chewey has her way! Please stop by and give this girl a chance at a forever home!

News

Please don't litter! 10 FREE spay/neuter certificates will be available to the public on the first Tuesday of each month. Certificates are given out at 8:00 a.m., but please come early as folks begin to line up early. To qualify for a certificate, owners must provide current vaccine and heartworm records. Please don't litter. Spay or Neuter Your Pet.

Who We Are

The mission of The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach is to find loving and permanent homes for abandoned animals; provide first-rate veterinary care through our experienced, local veterinarians; offer low-cost spay and neuter programs for dogs and cats; and to reach out to children, teachers, and parents through the education of pet responsibility. The heart of our organization is our dedication and professionalism.

Adopting a friend

Adoption Fees are $70 (we also offer reduced rates for senior citizens ages 60 and above). This includes the spay or neuter surgery (which is performed before the animal goes home), at least one set of shots and worming, and a Rabies vaccine if the animal is 12 weeks of age or older. All dogs 4 months of age or older are tested for Heartworms. All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia. Each adopter receives a complete medical record for their pet as well as information on health care and training tips. Each adopter also receives a "care kit" for their new pet plus a free bag of pet food, compliments of Pedigree.
