Palmetto Animal Rescue will be hosting it's first annual membership Drive and fundraiser on Saturday the 25th of July. This event will be held at the Kintyre Hall in Dillon. The evening will consist of Dinner and entertainment. Music will be performed by Jackie Lockamy, Jr. of Dillon and comedian, James Stephens III originally from Lake View, S.C. Dinner will be Bar-B-que, Boston Butt, donated by local area businesses and the side dishes will be prepared by Kintyre House Restaurant. Please contact Angela Campbell for tickets or more information on the event. Please come out and support the county's only Animal Rescue and enjoy an evening of food and fun. Tickets are only $25.00 in advance. Palmetto Animal Rescue held a raffle for two hand crafted Adirondack chairs and this was a big success. The winner of this years raffle was Peggy Bryant of Dillon. Thanks to everyone who sold and purchased tickets to help us raise money for the rescue. A special thanks goes out to RJK and things in Latta and Dillon Family Medicine for letting us place the chairs at their establishments and helping us with selling the tickets as well. We appreciate everything!

Who We Are

The Palmetto Animal Rescue was established in September of 2007. We are a non profit organization with the State of South Carolina and are currently working towards our 501 C (3) status. Our Rescue removes dogs from high kill shelters and pounds and foster them until they can be adopted. Our pets are UTD on all vaccinations, spayed or neutered and on heartworm, flea and tick prevention and most are house trained or well on their way all prior to adoption.

Adopting a friend

Adopting from our rescue begins with completing an application for one of our pets. The application can be taken over the phone or you may request one by e-mail. Once applications are considered, personal references will be checked as well as a veterinarian check. We will also conduct a home visit if deemed necessary. An adoption donation of $150.00 is required and the signing of our contract with specific conditions for the pet.

Come Visit Us!

Since we foster from our homes, there is no facility to visit. If you are interested in one of our pets, we will arrange a meeting place for you to see the dog of interest. Please contact us with the information given below for more information.
