Our Featured Pet...

Mia
Pit Bull

Mia is approximately 2 years old. During her temperament test she was unphased by loud noises, squealing children, and barking dogs. Mia welcomes attention!

Mia will be available for adoption after May 8th, 2008. New Hope Pit Bull Rescue requires that all dogs remain in our program for a minimum of one month (30 days). This helps attain a more proper assessment of the dog's personality, likes, and dislikes.

Please check back often for updates on Mia!

** Foster Homes Needed! **

We are ALWAYS in need of foster homes. If you aren't able to adopt, but would still like to help a dog in need, consider fostering.

New Hope Pit Bull Rescue is a foster home based rescue.

What does this mean? It means that our dogs are NOT kept closed up in kennels while waiting to be adopted. We rely on foster homes to help us rehabilitate, train, socialize and prepare dogs in our program for adoption. If you feel that you have enough room in your heart and home to care for one of these most deserving dogs, we would LOVE to hear from you. Without the generosity of other dog lovers, many wonderful animals will die in shelters.

Military family's make GREAT fosters for our dogs!

Who We Are

“Where there is compassion and understanding, there is action. Where there is action, there is hope.”

New Hope Pit Bull Rescue is a small foster home based organization founded by Alicia Domina and Kat Riley, who together have more than twenty years of experience with the "bully" breeds. We are dedicated to rehabilitating and re-homing unwanted, stray and abandoned Pit Bull type dogs (including the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier), and to promoting humane treatment of animals through educational programs for our community. We are committed to providing quality veterinary care, as well as, socializing, training, behavioral modification where needed, exercise and daily companionship for all animals in our program. Our passion is to inspire and engage the community to help end animal suffering, and to reduce the number of homeless pets through the promotion of low cost spay and neuter programs in our community.

Adopting a friend

The adoption fee for most dogs and puppies is $175 - $225. If you are interested in adopting a dog from New Hope Pit Bull Rescue , please visit our web site and review our adoption policies then fill out an application. We base adoptions on the best interest and family fit for the dog, so first come first serve does not apply with our adoption process. Each dog is spayed or neutered, up to date on all veterinarian care (unless otherwise noted) prior to adoption. Some pets may be courtesy listed for other rescues and shelters, in which case we will put you in contact with the persons responsible for the animal you may be interested in. New Hope Pit Bull Rescue can not guarantee the health or temperament of any animals that are not in our program and care.
