Tim and Linda adopted Franklin a beagle that had been here a long time, he was a senior citizen without a tooth in his head, but Tim and Linda didn't let that stop them, they adopted and gave Franklin a second chance at a new life and they often send stories about him and I thought you might like to read one so here you go: "Franklin is quite the mole hound. He's so serious about the hunt that he'll burrow is whole head into the hole he's digging. Well, the other day his persistence finally paid off. He caught a mole! I knew he was getting close when he kept jumping back like something was attacking his nose. So we resumed our walk, and lo and behold, he's carrying his prize in his mouth! He was so proud of himself—you could tell by the way he was strutting. Needless to say, he was none to happy with me when I insisted that he could not bring his new pet home with him. Actually, it was more like I had to drag him away from his new found friend. He was very gentle with the little guy and the mole was crawling off to safety when I last saw him."
Tyrone, a black lab who was in our shelter for almost 10 years just found a new home with a wonderful couple. Even though they rehab wildlife and often times dogs and raccoons and such don't mix, that didn't stop them from opening up their home to Tyrone. Now Tyrone has all kinds of brothers and sisters to watch over and a new life to begin. ********

Who We Are
We are a small shelter with lovable pets waiting to get new homes. Our adoption fee is only $30.00 for dogs and $10.00 for cats and this price includes them being already spayed/neutered and shots. We do require a fenced yard and an application but its pretty painless, we promise. Please take a look at what we have as your best friend could be waiting for you.... With your adoption papers Petco will issue you $200.00 coupon book for their store.
Adopting a friend or volunteering to help
IF you look at our great friends but can't adopt a dog or cat right now, or you still haven't found what your really looking for and you want to do something while your waiting... Don't worry you can still help out , we can always use donations and you'll feel great by helping out our dogs and cats. They can always use: toys, collars, leashes, heavy duty hoses, bleach, buckets,blankets, food, and most of all they LOVE treats**. Also If you have extra time you could always volunteer to come out and exercise and spend time with some of the animals here. Even if you can't take them home you'll make a friend for life.** You could volunteer to help us find homes for these pets, maybe you have friends looking for pets or maybe you want to do fliers or advertise for us.** and One last thing, If you would like to make a yard sale donation of resell-able items to benefit our group you may call 538- 6498. All proceeds go to our SPAY program. We can even accept items such as aluminum cans or scrap metal, even junk cars can be recycled to help with our animal expenses. as always your donation is eligible for a TAX WRITE-OFF.
