Adopting A Friend

Visit us Monday through Friday from 12:00 - 7:00 p.m. or Saturday from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. to adopt a pet.  When you arrive at Animal Care, come to our Adoptions Center. Here, you can see our adorable animal friends just waiting on the right home. We have puppy and dog rooms, kitten and cat rooms, as well as other furry friends who might come through our doors.

View our available pets for adoption You can walk through our Adoption Center and admire all the cute and wonderful animals for adoption. It will be important to think what is best for you. An older dog with lower energy? A puppy with boundless energy? A kitten to watch play? An adult cat to lay with you on the couch and relax?

When you have questions or want to meet a potential new friend, a friendly Adoptions Counselor will love to work with you. Their goal is to help you find the animal friend who would be best for your lifestyle. They will guide you on breed personalities and what you may expect when you bring your new friend home.

You may visit with the dogs/cats who you and your family think you might connect with. You may even bring your dog with you to test their compatibility. It is important to be as sure as you can before adopting an animal friend.

You will need to bring the following to adopt:
  • Picture ID with your current address.
  • Proof of age (you must be 18 or older to adopt a pet from Animal Care)
  • Proper form of payment (cash, credit/debit card, money order). Checks are accepted with a current Driver's License.
  • A carrier for your adopted kitty or a leash and collar for your adopted dog. Don't have these items? Don't worry - we will have these and many more wonderful items for your new pet available for purchase at our Pet Supply Store and Boutique.
Our adoption fees are an amazing value! All adoptions will include the following:
  • Spay or neuter
  • Microchip and Registration
  • Rabies Vaccination (pets over 3 months)
  • DA2PPV and/or FVRCP
  • Bordetella (for dogs)
  • Strongid de-wormer
  • Flea spray treatment as needed
  • Heartworm Test (for dogs)
  • Feline Leukemia/FIV Test (for cats)
