Who We Are

We are a private family-owned farm responding to a need for compassionate care of injured and mistreated animals. We have limited facility for cats/kittens but can usually find fosters. We have jobs to support our rescue habit, and have now obtained 501(3)c non-profit status. We enjoy support from our community through our local newspaper "Bluffton Today" and we keep the animals publicized on the newspaper's free blog at http://www.blufftontoday.com. Our farm is fully fenced and devoted to rehabilitation of animals. We can actually accept anything from horses to hamsters.

Adopting a friend

$125 adoption fee includes required spay/neuter and shots, worming, etc through the day of adoption. We require puppies and kittens receive all the rest of their shots through your veterinarian.
We do not transport pets nor allow pets to be adopted by people who have not met them. No animal may be adopted as a gift for another person except by parents for children. We discourage the adoption of small puppies for children under 6.
Home visit and adoption contract are required. For out-of-area adopters, a positive vet reference and at least two neighbor references may take the place of the home visit.
We adopt to single people or married couples, but we prefer not to adopt to unmarried couples. We will talk with you about it. We are looking for stability and ability to make a 15-20 year committment..

We do not adopt to people under 21, college students, or illegal aliens.
Actually, we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.
Under the terms of our contract you grant permission for us to come to your home and take the pet back if we have reason to believe you are not caring for it properly.
Lifetime free vacation boarding is included with every Maranatha Farm pet. We love to have them come back to visit gramma and grandpa.
No Maranatha Farm pet may be given away to another person or sold. We are to be notified if you change addresses.

Every Maranatha Farm pet is unconditionally guaranteed for life, and will be accepted back with full refund of the adoption fee at any time.
