Who We Are

The Hilton Head Humane Association is a 501 (c)(3)organization which runs a "no-kill" animal shelter registered with the State of South Carolina. We receive no public money. We depend entirely on fundraisers and private donations to meet our operating expenses.

Adopting a friend

Our adoption fee is $100 for dogs and puppies and $90 for cats and kittens. This fee includes micro- chipping, age appropriate shots and spaying or neutering. In addition, we provide a six month supply of heartworm preventative with every dog and puppy adoption. If you live in Beaufort County and your new pet is old enough and has been vaccinated against Rabies, we will issue a Beaufort County license. If you become a Member of the Association (Single $25) you can receive 10% off your adoption plus valuable offers.

All dogs are on Advantix (tick & flea preventative) and Triheart (heartworm preventative), vaccinated for DHLP, Bordatella, Giardia and are Heartworm free.

All cats are tested for FIV and Felv and their FVRCP vaccinations are current.

We are located off Highway 278 at Spanish Wells Road, and are open EVERY DAY except Tuesdays from 11 AM to 4 PM. We have extended hours on Wednesdays 11AM to 6PM
