Canine Rescue is a non-profit charity established in South Carolina. Our mission is to rescue dogs from shelters and adopt them into loving homes. All activities of Canine Rescue are donations by volunteers. We have no paid employees. Each of us have adopted at least one shelter dog; many have more than one. We know first hand the great rewards of opening the heart and the home to a shelter dog and our lives have been richly blessed for doing so. We sincerely want to share the opportunity for others to experience the profound lesson in forgiveness, share the gift of unconditional love, and witness first hand how truly appreciative these dogs are just to be a part of your life.
Adopting a friend
While this is the most rewarding work any of us has ever done, it is also the most heartbreaking. Hundreds of dogs are euthanized EVERY DAY in South Carolina shelters. The main reason for this mass killing is simply to free up cage space for yet more dogs coming into the shelter. Every day we destroy enough unconditional love that could literally change the entire world! A large portion of shelter dogs are mixed breeds; "accidental" litters, but there are also many, many purebred dogs! So no matter what you are looking for in a canine companion; there is sure to be at least one dog in a shelter who matches your expectations exactly. When you choose to adopt a rescue dog you not only get a friend for life, but you will also save a life! Choose to adopt!

Disclaimer:
Canine Rescue has evaluated this dog in the shelter environment and in foster home care and to the best of our knowledge as volunteers is deemed adoptable. Because these dogs come from shelters as strays or surrenders, Canine Rescue cannot guarantee any health, behavioral, or temperamental issues. Where We Are
All our adoptables live in foster homes with our families, our children, our pets. This allows us to evaluate the dog for personality, temperament, and training.
