WHO WE ARE
Diamond in the Ruff Rescue & Rehab, Inc is a Non Profit 501 c(3) corporation. We are a foster home based, NO KILL organization with foster homes throughout South Carolina. As we are staffed by volunteers with other full-time commitments, we ask that you fill out and submit an adoption application before we set up a time for you to personally meet the animal you are interested in adopting. If you would like to meet an animal beforehand, please come to our adoption events at the new Seneca Petsmart and the Woodruff Rd. Greenville Petsmart.
The pets in our care come from various sources, personal owners, animal control, strays and from high kill shelters. We provide veterinarian care for these pets, restoring them to proper health. All our foster homes provide an emotionally stimulating and happy environment for the pets in their care, in order to provide the adopter with an amazing family member. We believe that an adopter should receive a healthy and emotionally well-rounded pet. That is why our pets are in foster homes learning human and pet socialization. Many hours of love, medical treatment, behavioral modification, and training go into our pets. The motivation behind our work is the mutual well-being and happiness of both the animal and the humans who love them.
As rehabilitators we do not reject or euthanize pets that are in need of special medical treatment, training or care, because it may be too costly to treat them or an inconvenience for us. We accept many special needs cases into our program each year, such as animals that are heartworm positive, have genetic disorders, seniors, deaf, or blind. Providing these pets with professional medical treatment, special training, and in some cases sanctuary till the end of their lives.
We are looking for adopters who would like to have a companion pet as part of their family - people that are willing and determined to spend the needed time, love, and money in maintaining their pet's proper physical and emotional well being, for life. While we do understand that there are there are unavoidable reasons for surrendering a pet, we are firm believers that animals are a lifelong commitment, not a temporary fixture in the household.

TRANSPORT PROGRAM
These transports benefit homeless pets from high kill shelters, which would otherwise be euthanized if not relocated. We transport from SC and GA to NH, NY, NJ, PA, IN and Canada. On average each transport requires $700 in fuel, toll fee's, van rental and one overnight stay in a motel for our volunteer drivers.
You can help make a differance between life or death for these homeless animals needing transport. Please donate today by clicking the donate button below.
Or if you would like to donate to our transportation program by mail, please mail a check to
