Adopting A Lab

Thank you for considering adopting one of our Labradors!   We always have lots of Labs looking for new homes and the list is always changing.  IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT A LABRADOR FROM LOWCOUNTRY LAB RESCUE, WE MUST HAVE A COMPLETED ADOPTION APPLICATION FROM YOU.  Lots of our dogs get adopted before they even get to be posted on our website because we  have a previously approved applicant waiting for a particular type of dog.  Or a dog that you are interested in meeting may get adopted while you are emailing back and forth with someone from LLR.

Please Note: Lowcountry Lab Rescue is an all-volunteer organization that exists as a network of fosters. As such we do not have a shelter nor do we deliver or ship dogs out of state. You must come to where the dog is being fostered and meet him/her prior to adoption once your application has been approved and you have worked with an LLR volunteer.

Our adoption fee is $275 which includes the following routine veterinary care but is not limited to DHLPP vaccine, Kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, sterilization, heartworm test (and treatment as recommended by our vet). Most of the dogs that we rescue come to us with major medical conditions about and beyond routine medical care. So far we have seen hip dysplasia, hit by car, yeast infections of skin and ears, pneumonia, kennel cough, cancer, skin tumors, hernias, lacerated ears, nerve damage, flea infestation, liver inflammation, gall bladder inflammation and the list goes on and on. Your adoption fee covers only a small portion of the cost of medical care for our rescued retrievers.
