As of November 2005 we are no longer able to accept any rotties into the rescue. We are ceasing the foster program and closing operations. We do have 2 male rotties still for adoption, but we will not be taking any more rotties in due our move in 2006.

WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
Lowcountry Rottweiler Rescue has been in existence since 2002, but we have been doing rescue for the past five years and have had rotties in our family for over 12 years.. We are a small rottie rescue in Beaufort, SC, but we cover the coastal area of SC from Myrtle Beach to Savannah,GA. The rescued rottweilers are fostered in in private homes, not at a shelter facility. Our mission is to help rehouse rottweilers who have been displaced and find them a forever home where they can be spoiled and appreciated for the wonderful dogs they are. We also work within the community to educate the public about rottweilers and dispel the negative images which are frequently presented by the media.
Rottweilers are a very misunderstood breed, due to a lack of information and positive stories about the breed, most of the time you hear about rotties it's a negative story, but there are far more good traits in the breed than negative and we constantly work to keep the public informed of the positive side of this breed. We are a "rottie rescue", but we have occasionally taken in other breeds and cats over the years, since any animal in need is a priority for us.
ADOPTING A FRIEND - WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Our adoption process includes the following:
1) Complete an Adoption Application, which includes references
** REFERENCES WILL BE CHECKED **
2) Home Visit
3) Adoption Fee of $150 if Approved for Adoption
All of our prospective adopters go through this process, it is the best way for us to ensure that our rescue babies go to the best forever home.
