Adopting

How Does the Adoption Process Work? Please Read.

Step 1: Browse our adoptable pet list to find the perfect addition for your family.

Step 2: Fill out our adoption application and do NOT leave any blanks adoption application

Step 3: We will call or email you to discuss adoption and set up an appointment for you to visit our rescue!

Reminder: Adopting a pet is a life time commitment ! Think before you adopt !!! Big dogs need homes more than any pets at our rescue and are easiest to train.

Donations and adoptions are low. We are going into emergency mode !! Please donate to help us save these pets!!!! Expenses are the same as always but the money is not coming in to pay them. We have never had to say that before and hope that this is just one more hurdle we have to live through. Gosh, this job is hard but always worth the struggle.

Richardson Rescue was started in 2003 by Janet Richardson. Janet relocated from New York in 1998. While in New York Janet was Vice President of company that did full service order fulfillment and direct mail while managing over 200 employees for 15 years. She began volunteer work for various animal agencies after arriving in the York County area. With high expectations for animal rights, spay/neuter and education, Janet began building what has now become one of the largest and finest onsite rescues in the area. Richardson Rescue now offers adoptions, rescue, a low cost spay/neuter program, education and is active with The Committee for Responsible Pet Ownership. The Committee's goal is to improve animal rights laws, unchain pets, code enforcement and improve Animal Control procedures while promoting enforcement. .
