It's that time again - with warm weather right around the corner - so is KITTEN SEASON. If you are interested in fostering mother cats and kittens, kittens that need to be bottle fed, or kittens that aren't old enough to go up for adoptions yet please call or come by the shelter. There is an application you need to fill out and you can speak with our staff.
We need Foster Parents! Foster homes provide temporary care for kittens or puppies that are not old enough for adoption. As well, adult dogs or cats are sometimes placed in foster care to recover from an illness or to overcome shyness. In all cases, foster parents provide love and shelter so that the animals in their care can go on to become beloved pets in an adoptive home. Please call the shelter if you have space, time and love to give to the homeless pets in our care.
The Aiken SPCA offers several Spay/Neuter Programs. We are sure that we have something that will work for you.
Programs include: Regular Cost, Low Cost (you have to make less than $27,500 last year), No More Homeless Pets, and The City Spay Neuter Program. The County Shelter next door offers a County Spay Neuter Voucher - if you live in Aiken County contact them at 803-642-1537 for more information on that program.
