Greetings from Exeter Animal Shelter.
This is a very busy time of the year for the shelter and we have many new arrivals every day. We are especially in need of canned or dry cat and kitten food, canned dog food and clay kitty litter. If you have ever considered volunteering, now is the time to do it!

Who We Are
Open since 1999, Exeter Animal Shelter has found homes for 100's of cats and dogs. All animals are tested, given their vaccines and if they are of age are spayed/neutered before they are released from the shelter. Many pets have come and gone over the years cats, dogs, birds and even a Guinea pig. The animals are very well taken care of but they need a friend and a loving home. Take a look at what we have in our directory maybe you can find a new companion to love you and for you to love back.

Adopting a friend
In order to adopt there is a fee, but for a lifetime of happiness its worth it.
Adoption fee is $60 for spayed/neutered pets. the fee is $60 if animal isn’t of age (not old enought to be spayed/neutered), but $25 will be returned when the pet is spayed/neutered.
Come Visit Us!
We are located on Rt. 2 in Exeter between the Veterans Cemetery and Schartners Farm.
From the North - Take Rt. 95 South to Rt. 4. Take exit 5B (Rt102) and take a left at the light onto Rt 2. We're just a couple miles down on the right.
From the South on Rt. 95 take exit 3 Rt 138 (URI/Newport). Several miles down take a left at the light onto Rt 2. We're about 1/4 mile after the cemetery on the left.
From the East take Rt 1 North into Rt 4. Take exit 5 and then a left at the light (Rt 102). Go straight to a light (Oatleys on your right) and take a left onto Rt. 2. We're past Schartners Farm on your right.
Our hours of operation are:
Sunday 9am - 2pm
Monday 9am - 12pm
Tuesday Closed
Wednesday 9am -12am
Thursday 9am - 1pm
Friday 3pm-6pm
Saturday 9am - 1pm
