PET OF THE MONTH:
"Angel"
Angel …It could be considered a prophecy of sorts that Angel was found in a church parking lot, because she came into the shelter with a Guardian Angel watching over her. Angel came to the Shelter emaciated, her eyes, gums and ears a dark yellow. Angel’s liver and kidneys were shutting down, and her blood count life threatening. Her recovery was slower than hoped for, and her prognosis appeared hopeless. But shelter staff and volunteers refused to surrender Angel’s fate. Hand fed, pampered and monitored closely, Angel began her slow recovery back. Her yellow skin began to fade, and she started eating on her own. As Angel’s body began to heal, so did her spirit. Angel began to seek out a gentle hand, and responded to a kind voice. Throughout Angel’s near death experience, the Bristol Animal Shelter never wavered in the care she needed. There can be no doubt that this feisty feline used one of her nine lives. Now healthy and content, Angel is looking for her forever home. Call 401/253-4834.
