We have beautiful kittens and cats waiting for forever homes!!
Although we don't have any rabbits at our shelter, please call your local shelter or Sweet Binks Rabbit Rescue at 401-623-1340 for a rabbit who is looking for a home!
Towels needed!
We are always in need of towels, any size. PLEASE NO SHEETS, COMFORTERS OR QUILTS. We have a very LIMITED storage area and need ONLY towels at this time! You can call us or just come by. If no one is at the shelter, just drop them outside the gate, but make sure they are in a plastic bag, so not to get rained on. Please contact FURBALL418@aol.com or 401-719-1516. Thank you so much!
Volunteering!
WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR VOLUNTEERS! PLEASE CONTACT LARNA AT FURBALL418@AOL.COM
Volunteer's are very important to keeping the animals happy and well while in the shelter's care. We LOVE our volunteers! You must be at least 21 years old. There is no cleaning or feeding, just walks and cuddles and pets to all the animals in need of love and attention while they are in our care waiting for a new home. Saturday and Sunday (8am-2pm) are PERFECT for volunteering or any night after school or work perhaps, we are open until 10pm weeknights (except Monday) You can volunteer for 20 minutes or stay 2 hours, it's your choice! If you are interested in finding out more about volunteering, you can contact Larna at FURBALL418@aol.com Thanks!
Good News!
Capone, our beautiful and very large pitbull was finally adopted after 6 months of being with us at the shelter! We are so grateful to ACO1, 2 and 3 for taking such good care of Capone and realizing what a great ambassador for his breed he is! We don't ever give up on great dogs or cats!!
Foster Care Program!
If you or anyone you know would be interested in helping with our FOSTER CARE PROGRAM for a dog or cat, please contact Larna at FURBALL418@aol.com. It's such a rewarding experience for both you and the animals and it helps to socialize them and ready them for a forever home. Foster caring is your choice and how long you keep them is your decision. A month, weeks or days.....any help is beneficial to the animals! Thank you!
Who We Are
We are a division of The North Providence Police Dept. We have 3 full time Animal Control Officers, an adoption/volunteer/foster program coordinator and 5 volunteers. We are a small shelter consisting of 6 dog runs, a cat room which houses 12 cats, a quarantine area which houses all cats for 10 days prior to them entering the general population and our open cat room, Rosie's Room. Our goal is to place each animal in a caring and loving home, and to keep each animal safe, healthy and happy until we do so.
