The Potter League is offering Obedience Classes to the general public. These 6 week sessions cost $90. Courses of all levels are being offered. Check for dates for the next upcoming classes.
The Potter League has Pet University Classes which are held on the third Wednesday of each month. Subject range from reinforcing with positive dog training methods to cat litter box problems.
The Potter League has a Pet Loss Support Group which meets on a regular basis. This group is opened to the public at no charge. Pre registration is required. Contact the Potter League for upcoming dates.
Who We Are
The Potter League for Animals is the Humane Society and Animal Shelter for Newport County. We are private non-profit but we house animals for our local animal control departments. 2500 dogs, cats and small animals are cared for each year.

From the North - Take 195 East to 24 South to Route 114 South. Go approximately 5 miles to Oliphant Lane which a left turn across from the stop & Shop Plaza
From the South - Cross Newport Bridge and take exit for Route 114. Take left at exit ramp light. Go to second light and take a left on Route 114 North which is West Main Road. Go 2.5 miles to Oliphant Lane which is a right turn across from Stop & Shop Plaza
