| LaSalle Veterinarian Hospital offers a broad range of professional veterinarian services to our patients for over 40 years. In 1996 we entered into an agreement with the city of Lasalle and became the districts collection center - our mandate includes accepting and housing owner surrendered pets, rescued strays and unclaimed cats and dogs.
We make every effort to place the abandoned pets in our care with good adoptive homes. Here a good number of them can hope for a bright future. Due to the constant flow of abandoned animals arriving at our centre, we are fortunately receiving assistance from non profit organizations such as Animatch, PetitsPawz, gerdy's rescue & adoption, CAACQ members, Animal Adoption Montreal and others. Together, we manage to find good homes for many animals; Cats in particular need our help as they are abandoned in a greater number then dogs. Our mission as a Vet is to promote the importance of sterilization and vaccination and to raise awareness of the significant problem of abandonment. |
L'Hôpital vétérinaire LaSalle offre une gamme complète de soins et services professionnels depuis plus de 40 ans. En 1996 nous avons signé une entente avec la ville de LaSalle afin de devenir le centre de collection pour la municipalité. Nous avons comme mandat d’accueillir les animaux abandonnés par leur propriétaire et les animaux errants non réclamés.
Nous tentons par tous les moyens de placer en bons foyers d'adoption les animaux abandonnés qui nous sont confiés. Heureusement, pour plusieurs d'entre eux, la vie ne s’arrête pas ici… Compte tenu des arrivées constantes de chiens et chats abandonnés à notre centre, nous pouvons compter sur l’assistance d’organisations à but non lucratif telles qu’Animatch, PetitsPawz, gerdy's rescue & adoption, CAACQ, Animal Adoption Montreal et autres. Nous unissons nos efforts pour faire adopter plusieurs animaux. Les chats ont particulièrement besoin de notre aide, car ils sont abandonnés en plus grand nombre que les chiens. Notre mission comme hôpital vétérinaire est de promouvoir la stérilisation et la vaccination, puis de sensibiliser les gens au grave problème d’abandon des animaux. |

Dès leur adoption, chats et chatons sont examinés par un vétérinaire,
testés pour FIV/FELV, stérilisés, vaccinés, vermifugés et traités contre
les puces.
