We are a non-profit corporation led by a board of directors and an executive director. We have a shelter that will hold about 80 animals. We have two thrifts shops, one in Chambersburg and one in Shippensburg, PA. We arrange pet crematory service to the community.
Adopting a Friend:
If you are interested in adopting one of the animals featured here, stop by the shelter and fill out an adoption application. Or visit our website to fill out an online application. All members of the household must meet the new animal, including any dogs. We will adopt out of state but adopters must be willing to come to the shelter to pick up the animal. Also, out of state adopters may have to pay an additional fee due to out of state adoption policies.
The adoption fee for dogs 7 months and older is $105. Puppies that are 6 months and under are $120. This fee includes the following: spaying or neutering, vaccinations (excluding Rabies), ID microchip, collar, a dog training DVD, de-worming treatments, flea/ ear mite treatments, and temperament testing. There will be an addition to the adoption price, if you reside in our county, and you want to obtain a current dog license from us.
The adoption fee for cats, 7 months and older is $70. Kittens six months and younger is $80. This fee includes the following: spay or neuter of cat, ID microchip, collar, ID tag, deworming, flea/ear mite treatment, current vaccinations (distemper), a feline DVD, cat carrier, Feline Leukemia & FIV test.

To find us: From I-81 get off Exit 14 and turn left onto Wayne Avenue (PA 316) towards Waynesboro. About a mile on your right is the Carter Lumber Yard. The next road after Carter Lumber Yard is Country Road. Turn right onto Country Road, the shelter will be set back on the right hand side just before the RR crossing.
